CONVERGE—A Symposium on Leadership and Culture
Public Safety Professionals—All Levels, All Sections
Long-term successful organizations—no matter the type—have one common quality…Positive Culture. Culture has two components— intentionality and leadership. Too many organizations leave culture to chance or are operating under the same culture that is decades old. Culture affects everything—hiring, retention, community and relations.
This 2-day symposium is for ANY public safety member—no matter rank, expertise, or role. With a focus on effective leadership and ACTIONABLE culture, those attending will work together to develop a mission statement that specifically directs member action and defines agency success.
Day 1 – Leadership
- Leading When You’re Not the Boss (Non-Supervisors)
- Stuck in the Middle Leadership (Supervisors)
- Not By Chance Leadership (Command Staff)
Day 2 – Extraordinary Culture Through Intentional Design
Participants CONVERGE to identify the components of extraordinary culture and collaboratively design the framework to establish effective agency culture. EVERYBODY gets to contribute – to have a voice, to show ownership – in the future of their organization!
